Motor Protection Evolution
Traditional bimetallic overload relays (thermal O/L) protect motors from overcurrent. Modern thermistor relays (PTC O/L) like Eaton EMT6 protect motors from overtemperature directly via embedded PTC thermistors in motor windings.
