Self-Learning Fixed-Code Copy
4-band self-learning cloners can copy any fixed-code remote in 30 seconds. This guide covers the complete process with troubleshooting.
Required Tools
- 4-band self-learning cloner (280/315/433/868 MHz)
- Original remote (the one you want to copy)
- CR2032 battery (if cloner is new)
Step-by-Step Copy Process
- Insert battery in cloner
- Clear cloner memory – Press and hold top 2 buttons for 5 sec until LED flashes rapidly
- Place original remote 1-2 cm from cloner
- Press and hold the button you want to copy on BOTH remotes simultaneously
- Wait for LED confirmation – Solid LED = success, fast flash = retry
- Release both buttons
- Test – Press the cloner button to verify operation
Troubleshooting
- LED doesn’t light: Replace battery, check polarity
- Pairing fails: Move remotes closer (1 cm), try different angle
- Works close but not far: Original remote has weak battery
- Code copied but doesn’t operate: Receiver must be in LEARN mode
