Choosing Between Somfy Telis 1, 4, 5, and 16 Channel Remotes
The Somfy Telis range covers four common configurations for motorized blinds and curtains. Each serves a different installation scenario. This 2026 guide helps distributors and installers pick the correct model for each customer.
1. Telis 1 — Single Channel
Telis 1 controls one motorized blind or curtain. It suits single-room installations, small apartments, or retrofit projects where only one motor needs control. It is the simplest Telis model and easiest for end users to operate.
2. Telis 4 — Four Channel
Telis 4 controls up to four independent motors. It is suitable for medium residential installations: living room with multiple curtains, small office with four blinds, or bedroom with roller blind and sheer curtain combinations.
3. Telis 5 — Five Channel
Telis 5 adds a fifth channel for the “my” favorite position. This is the most popular model for residential installations. The fifth channel can store a preset position, letting users recall their preferred curtain height with one click.
4. Telis 16 — Sixteen Channel
Telis 16 is for whole-home or small commercial installations. It controls up to 16 independent motors, making it suitable for hotels, conference rooms, and multi-zone residential projects.
5. Compatibility Note
All four Telis models use the same 433.42 MHz rolling code RTS protocol. A single receiver accepts any of them. Distributors can stock multiple channel counts without receiver compatibility concerns.
