Decoding the Designation Before You Compare Prices
A contactor designation is not marketing copy — it is a specification you can verify. In the DILM family the frame size comes first: DILM9 is a 9A frame, three poles. The -10 suffix is the 10A AC-3 rating, and the coil voltage sits in the order suffix. When a buyer compares DILM9-10 at 24VDC against another 9A contactor at 230VAC and concludes ours is expensive, the mismatch is almost always the coil.
DILM9-10 in 24VDC is the DC-coil version used in control panels where the control supply is 24V. Its AC-3 rating is 9A at 400/415V. Compare it against another 24VDC-coil 9A frame, not against an AC-coil unit.

The Specification Table You Should See Before Any Quote
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Rated operational current AC-3 | 9A (400/415V, 3-pole) |
| Frame size | DILM9 |
| Coil voltage | 24VDC |
| Coil consumption | approx. 2.4W |
| Number of auxiliary contacts | 1NO standard, add-on blocks available |
| Mounting | DIN rail / panel mount |
| Terminal type | Screw terminals, suitable for control wire sizes seen in panel work |
Where the Price Difference Actually Comes From
Three variables drive the gap between distributor quotes, in order of magnitude:
- Certification scope. A unit with full CE-RED/EMC and RoHS documentation costs more to keep in range than one documented only for the domestic market. Verify what test reports ship with the batch, not what the catalogue claims.
- Auxiliary contact configuration. A frame with add-on aux blocks specified at order time is a different SKU and a different price. Ask whether the quote includes the blocks or whether they are line items.
- Traceability. Batch-level date codes, on request a third-party QC report at AQL 5%, and a carton-level packing list. Dealers who have been caught by a customs hold value this above a small unit-price gap.

Compatibility and IP Position
Eaton is a trademark of Eaton Corporation plc. DILM is an Eaton product family. We supply compatible replacement contactors engineered to the published frame, rating, and terminal layout of the DILM series, using our own PCBA-free electromechanical design and our own tooling. We are not an authorised Eaton distributor, we do not apply the Eaton name to our goods, and no Eaton trademark or patent is reproduced on our product. If your specification requires an authorised-channel part, order from Eaton directly; if it requires a documented, traceable equivalent, we can quote that.
Catalogue references for the specification above: RF Mando Eaton DIL2M-G 24VDC contactor and RF Mando Eaton DILM3M80 (24VDC) contactor. Both are MOQ-based, ship on our own PCBA and housing tooling, and one free sample per SKU is available before you commit to a production order.
