Eaton DILA-XHI Auxiliary Contact Block Selection Guide
Auxiliary contact blocks expand the signaling capability of DILM contactors. RF Manda supplies DILA-XHI auxiliary contact blocks compatible with Eaton Moeller DILM contactors.
Auxiliary Contact Block Functions
Auxiliary contacts provide:
- Status feedback (contactor energized or not)
- Control circuit interlocking
- Signal output for PLC or monitoring system
- Additional switching capacity for control relays
DILA-XHI Series Configurations
Available configurations:
- 2-pole front mount (1 NO + 1 NC)
- 4-pole front mount (2 NO + 2 NC, or 3 NO + 1 NC, or 4 NC)
- Side mount (1 NO + 1 NC)
Compatible with DILM Series
DILA-XHI auxiliary contact blocks are compatible with:
- DILM7 to DILM170 contactors (front mount)
- DILM185 to DILM1000 contactors (side mount)
Selection by Application
Simple status feedback: 1 NO + 1 NC front mount
PLC interface: 2 NO + 2 NC front mount (separate status and command)
Safety interlock: 1 NC + 1 NC (both normally closed for fail-safe)
Three-wire control: 1 NO + 1 NC for holding circuit
Installation
Auxiliary contact blocks typically install on the front or side of the contactor without tools. They latch securely and can be added in the field.
Electrical Rating
Typical ratings:
- AC-15: 6A at 230V, 4A at 400V
- DC-13: 2A at 110V, 0.5A at 220V
Distributor Stock
For most markets, stock:
- 1 NO + 1 NC (most common, 60% of stock)
- 2 NO + 2 NC (PLC interface, 30% of stock)
- 1 NO (signal output, 10% of stock)
