What a Cross-Reference Is and Is Not
A cross-reference table tells you which part number corresponds to which. It does not tell you whether the part is a substitute. Those are different questions, and conflating them is how a substitution arrives at a panel builder’s bench with the wrong auxiliary contact count.

Frame-Level Correspondence
| DILM frame | LC1D equivalent frame | AF equivalent frame | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| DILM9 | LC1D09 | AF09 | Small motor and lighting |
| DILM12 | LC1D12 | AF12 | Mid-range motor control |
| DILM17 | LC1D18 | AF16 | General panel builders |
| DILM25 | LC1D25 | AF25 | Heating and motor loads |
| DILM32 | LC1D32 | AF38 | Three-phase loads |
| DILM40 / DILM50 | LC1D40 / LC1D50 | AF40 / AF50 | Pump and motor starters |
| DILM65 | LC1D65 | AF65 | Heavy motor control |
| DILM95 | LC1D80 / LC1D95 | AF88 | Heavy industrial |
How to Use This Table Correctly
Start from the incumbent’s ordering code, not from a nominal current. Decode the frame, the AC rating, the coil voltage and the auxiliary contact configuration from the incumbent, then find the part that matches all four. If no single reference matches all four, you are looking at two orders, not one.
- Frame matches, coil differs — not a substitute. The panel will not energise correctly.
- Frame matches, aux contacts differ — not a substitute. The control logic changes.
- Frame matches, all four parameters match — a genuine substitution candidate, subject to the certification question.
The Certification Question That Overrides the Table
ATEX, hazardous-area, marine and nuclear specifications cannot be met by a generic compatible replacement, because they depend on certified equipment and on documentation that follows the specific certified product. If the specification names a certified product family, order from the authorised channel.
For general industrial panel work, where the requirement is a documented, traceable equivalent with a stated specification, a compatible replacement is a legitimate procurement route — provided the specification is frozen before the order is placed.

Compatibility and IP Position
Eaton and DILM are trademarks of Eaton Corporation plc. Our compatible contactors are independently engineered replacements using our own design and our own tooling, matched to the published frame size, current rating, terminal layout and coil options of the DILM family. We are not an authorised Eaton distributor, we do not apply Eaton branding to our goods, and no Eaton trademark or patent is reproduced on our product. Where a project specification requires an authorised-channel part, that part must come from Eaton.
Catalogue references for the specification above: RF Mando compatible DILM32-XTED11-1 (RAC240) contactor and LC1D 18A 3P+1NO/1NC rail-mount contactor. All are MOQ 100 pcs per SKU, 7-15 day lead time, one free sample per SKU, and supplied on our own PCBA and housing tooling with AQL 5% inspection available.
