Why QC Documentation Decides the Supplier
A contactor is a component that fails inside a control panel, usually during commissioning and occasionally during operation. The failure is expensive not because the part is dear but because the panel has to be opened, diagnosed and possibly rebuilt. That is why the documentation accompanying a batch matters more than a small unit-price difference.

What to Require, in Priority Order
| Requirement | What it means | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| 100% functional test | Every unit, before packing | Non-negotiable on our line |
| Third-party report at AQL 5% | Available on request | Recommended on a first batch |
| Batch date codes | Batch-level traceability | Needed to answer a field query later |
| Carton-level packing list | Broken out by SKU | Matters on mixed-SKU orders |
| Pre-shipment production sample | Of the actual batch | Not the sales sample |
Batch Traceability in Practice
Batch-level date codes allow a distributor to answer the question a panel builder will eventually ask: which units were in the batch that went into panel number 41. Without date codes the answer is “I think it was March”, which is not an answer. With them it is a code and a date, and the panel can be traced and the batch isolated if a systematic fault emerges.
AQL 5% and What It Actually Means
AQL means acceptable quality limit: the quality level at which a lot is judged acceptable under sampling inspection. AQL 5% is the common commercial standard for electrical components — it does not mean five defects per hundred units are expected, it means the inspection rejects lots whose sample defect rate is worse than 5%.
- 100% functional test on every unit: we test before packing, and it is not optional on our line.
- Third-party report at AQL 5% available on request. We recommend it on a first batch from any new buyer.
- Pre-shipment sample of the actual production batch rather than the sales sample — the two are frequently not the same thing.

Compatibility and IP Position
Eaton and DILM are trademarks of Eaton Corporation plc. Our compatible contactors are independently engineered replacements using our own design and our own tooling, matched to the published frame size, current rating, terminal layout and coil options of the DILM family. We are not an authorised Eaton distributor, we do not apply Eaton branding to our goods, and no Eaton trademark or patent is reproduced on our product. Where a project specification requires an authorised-channel part, that part must come from Eaton.
