One Device, Several Jobs
The multi-band cloner earns its place in a van by replacing the need to carry a drawer of single-band handsets. A technician who meets a 315MHz door, a 433MHz gate and a 868MHz operator in one day carries one tool instead of three. That is the whole argument, and it is why the format sells on tool logic rather than on unit price.

The Van-Stock Checklist
| Item | What to confirm | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Band allocation confirmed | Market, not brand name | Prevents the most common hold |
| Certification scope | Report model number matches the order | A report for another variant does not cover yours |
| Certificate holder | Manufacturer, not intermediary | Ask who holds it |
| HS classification | Your broker’s written opinion | Not the supplier’s guess |
| Battery content | Checked against the destination schedule | Lithium content can trigger extra requirements |
| Labelling | Language and markings for the market | Re-labelling costs more than getting it right |
| Document retention | Filed against the order number | Answers a field query two years later |
Two Features That Decide More Than Band Count
Fixed-code family coverage is the first. A four-band unit that pairs with only two common fixed-code families is a return generator, and the return happens on the customer’s driveway. Ask for the family list, not the band count.
Roll-up car key format is the second, where the market uses it. A technician who cannot roll up a car key on site will buy a second device anyway, and the dealer will lose the sale to a competitor who stocks the right version.
Band count is the number on the box. Family coverage is the number that decides whether the tool comes back on the van at the end of the week.
What a Dealer Should Ask For Before a First Order
- One free sample per SKU ($30 DHL, buyer pays) — test it against the oldest remote in the market, not the newest.
- The fixed-code family list in writing.
- Whether the case and car-key format are included.
- Certification for the destination market: FCC Part 15, CE-RED and RoHS, or RCM.
