The Last Opportunity to Fix Something Cheaply
Once a container is sealed, every problem inside it becomes an international one. A wrong label becomes a customs hold. A short-shipped reference in a mixed carton becomes a receiving dispute. A carton with no reference on the outside becomes a full unpacking exercise at your warehouse. Everything that is wrong at this point was almost free to fix one step earlier.

What Is Checked Before the Container Closes
| Check | What is verified | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Carton labels | SKU, quantity and batch reference on the outside of every carton | A mixed carton without outer labels gets unpacked entirely |
| Packing list | Broken out by SKU and quantity | The document your receiving team works from |
| Date codes | Verified present and legible on the product and carton | Traceability at the point it is needed |
| Sampling inspection | Third-party at AQL 5% on a first order | Independent verification before the container closes |
| Physical count | Carton count and quantity reconciled | Catches a short shipment before the bill of lading |
| Loading photographs | Pallets photographed with labels visible | Evidence of what actually went into the container |
| Document set | Commercial invoice, packing list, test reports | Filed against the order number on your side and ours |
Why the Packing List Is the Document That Matters Most
On a single-SKU order, the packing list is a formality. On a mixed-SKU order — which is the normal case for a distributor buying several references — it is the document your receiving team works from. Without a packing list broken out by SKU and quantity, your staff open every carton to find what they need, and a mixed carton with no outer labels is a mixed carton that gets unpacked entirely.
We produce the packing list broken out by SKU, photograph the loaded pallets with visible carton labels, and send the photographs before the goods leave. It takes an hour of our time and it removes an afternoon of your team’s time, every single time.
Ask for a pre-shipment sample of the actual production batch, not the sales sample. The two are frequently different items.
What to Ask For Before the Balance Payment
- Pre-shipment inspection report, third-party at AQL 5% on a first order.
- Packing list broken out by SKU and quantity.
- Photographs of the loaded pallets with carton labels visible.
- Batch date-code photographs taken before loading, so a field query can be traced.
